Le Coupon offers are commercial coupons that stores sell to their loyalty customers. Unlike vouchers issued by the program, they are paid products: the customer buys them with the points wallet or with credit card via Stripe, and then redeems them in person at the POS with a barcode.

Customers can also gift a coupon to a friend or family member, so word of mouth grows through a built-in gift notification.

Each coupon offer has two ways to pay: with the program's wallet units (points, credits or any configured currency) or directly with a credit card via Stripe. The customer picks the option they prefer and the payment goes through instantly.

The purchase creates the movement MOV_COUPON_PURCHASE and links the coupon to the customer. You can turn the Coupon offers module on or off for each instance with a business-rule flag.

Instant redemption at the POS by barcode scan: store and expiry checked in real time

When the customer comes into the store, the operator scans the coupon barcode from their phone or from a printout. The system checks that the coupon was purchased (not already used or expired), that the current store is enabled and that the expiry date has not passed.

Redemption creates the movement MOV_COUPON_REDEEM and updates the coupon status from purchased a used. The back office lets you open the coupon list per customer and filter by status, with a full audit of Stripe payments.

Gift a coupon to another customer: word of mouth becomes part of the loyalty program

A customer who bought a coupon can gift it to another customer in the program. The Customer Gifts flow handles the transfer, notifies the recipient automatically with the default "coupon gift" template and updates who owns the coupon.

The gift strengthens the social tie around the program: customers become active ambassadors, bringing new redemptions and raising the perceived value of joining.
